Saturday June 8th - BBQ Day
We just know that summer is going to come this year so we need to take advantage of the weather and there is no better way of doing it than having a bbq. Pete our head chef will be cooking on a bbq using his own beef burgers, local meats which will be available for you to try before you buy!!

Sunday June 16th - Fathers Day
Fathers day is the perfect occasion to show Dad just how much you love him. Why not call in and pick up a great gift for fathers day or why not treat Dad to a homecooked breakfast in the Railway Restaurant.

with the 'Orchid Doctor' - Chris Channon, retired professional orchid grower and RHS gold medalist
Orchid care talk and repotting demonstration. How to look after them, make them reflower and when to repot.

Saturday July 27th - Yew Turning Demonstration
Before your very eyes, watch Ralph and Elke Curtis turn toadstools and other items from wood. They will be turning toadstools which you will be able to purchase and then paint free of charge.A great activity for the children!!

Saturday August 3rd - Strawberry Day
We all love strawberries whether they are fresh from the plant, strawberry jam on toast or a freshly prepared fruit salad.
Strawberries are so easy to grow whether its in the garden or in a patio container. We will have punnets of fresh, local strawberries and a selection of strawberry themed desserts in the restaurant

Saturday August 10th - Rose Day
In any traditional, British garden you would expect to find the odd rose. We will have a large selection of roses full of flower and scent and our staff will be on hand to offer help and advice on selection, planting, feeding and aftercare.

Saturday August 17th - Bee Observation and Fun Day
A regular favourite back by popular demand! Peter Guthrie will be here with his live observation hive and will be offering advice on bee keeping as well as a number of activities including candle making for the children.
We will also be selling jars of his delicious honey in the farm shop!!

Saturday September 7th - Spring Bulb Event
This month is a very important month for forward planning to the spring. Spring bulbs provide the vital colour we need in the garden to get over the winter blues!!
Bring the kids along and have a go at planting their own bulb which they can take home and watch it grow!!

Saturday October 12th - Conifer Day
Conifers are great plants to have in the garden particular if you want to add structure or texture to your garden. Conifers are a great addition to winter patio containers and are also great if you want a natural screen in your garden.

Saturday October 19th - Apple Day
Apples are used in a variety of ways depending on whether your a lover of Roast Pork, Apple Pie or a nice glass of Cider. We will have an array of apple trees available and all the help and advice you will ever need with regards to successfull apple growing. Pips Cider from Hereford will be providing tasters in the farm shop and the restaurant will be offering some homecooked specials using apples!
